Oklahoma City Symphonic Band Spring Concert

The Oklahoma City Symphonic Band will present our Spring Concert on April 25th at 7:30pm. The concert will feature guest conductor, Mr. Gene Thrailkill, as well as our Young Artist Competition winners for 2019. Winners are Sebastian Palmer from Elgin, Oklahoma and Naomi Wharry from Idabel, Oklahoma. Mr. Palmer will perform "Believe Me If All Those Endearing Young Charms" by Simone Mantia and Ms. Wharry will perform "Bolivar" by Eric Cook. The band will perform music by Percy Grainger, Richard Rogers, Franz von Suppe and John Philip Sousa. Free admission. This concert is partially funded by the Oklahoma Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts. The Oklahoma City Symphonic Band is comprised of approximately one hundred professional and amateur musicians from across the metro area. The band is under the direction of Dr. Mark G.
