An Evening with Kristin Hannah

Best of Books is hosting An Evening With Kristin Hannah at UCO's Constitution Hall, located in the Nigh University Center, on Tuesday, September 24th from 6-8pm.

KRISTIN HANNAH is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the The Nightingale, a major motion picture directed by Michelle MacLaren, and The Great Alone, set in Alaska. Hannah is also the author of the New York Times bestsellers Firefly Lane, Winter Garden, Night Road, Fly Away, and Home Front, which has been optioned for film by 1492 Films (producers of the Oscar-nominated film The Help) with Chris Columbus attached to write, produce, and direct. She is the mother of one son and lives with her husband in the Pacific Northwest.

There are TWO ticket options available to attend An Evening With Kristin Hannah. Please read carefully to select the best option.

OPTION ONE: A $25 ticket will admit ONE person and include ONE paperback copy of "The Great Alone"

OPTION TWO: A $35 ticket will admit TWO people and include ONE paperback copy of "The Great Alone" *NOTE* Please include name of second person in order comment.

FAQ's

Will I have to pay for parking at the University of Central Oklahoma?

Answer: You will be able to park in the visitor parking lot next to the Nigh University Center. We are hoping it will be free of charge, but will let you know once we receive updates.

Can I bring my books from home that I already own?

Answer: Outside books will NOT be allowed into the venue. Each ticket will receive ONE paperback copy of "The Great Alone." This will allow the line to run smoothly and quickly with the anticipated crowd size. We will have a limited amount of Kristin Hannah's other books for sale, including hardback copies, at the venue.

Will Kristin Hannah sign my book? Can I get my picture taken with her?

Answer: Yes! Kristin Hannah will sign the book you received with your ticket purchase, as well as any additional books you bought at the venue. Kristin is also happy to take a picture with anyone who wishes to do so. We will have a staff member there to assist you in doing that.

Will I have a line number for the book signing?

Answer: No, we will not be issuing any line numbers for this event, due to the size. The event seating will be first come, first serve. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. The signing will go row by row, with the first row being the first to go through the signing line.

When can I show up?

Answer: The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Please wait until 5:00 p.m. before you start to line up, to allow for UCO classes to finish without disruption.

What should I do when I get there?

Answer: Go to the check-in table where a Best of Books staff member will have the names of everyone who purchased tickets. When we check off your name, you will receive a wristband(s) and your book(s) depending on ticket type purchased. Everyone who enters the Constitution Hall room MUST have a wristband.

What happens if I can no longer attend after purchasing a ticket?

Answer: All ticket purchases are FINAL and NON-TRANSFERRABLE. In the event you cannot attend, we will be able to get the book signed for you to be picked up at Best of Books after the event.

Can I pick up my book(s) and wristband(s) early?

Answer: Books and wristbands will be available to pick up starting at 9:00 a.m. on the day of the event at Best of Books until 3:00 p.m. After 3:00 p.m., you will have to pick up your wristband and book at the check in table at UCO at 5:30 p.m.
