WCRA HALF A MILLION DOLLAR RODEO RETURNS TO LAZY E ARENA

-World's Top Rodeo Athletes To Compete for Their Share of More Than $500,000-

AUSTIN, TEXAS- World Champions Rodeo Alliance (WCRA) is excited to announce that the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, Oklahoma will play host to WCRA's five-day $500,000 Semi-Finals May 15-19. The five-day event will feature the world's top rodeo athletes going head-to-head for more than $500,000 and their chance to qualify for WCRA's $1 Million Major Rodeo (Titletown Stampede) on June 1 at the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin. 

The three main performances will begin on Saturday, May 18 with two progressive round perfomances (1 p.m. and 7 p.m.) followed by the final round on Sunday, May 19 at 1 p.m.

Contestants in eight events - bareback riding, women's breakaway roping, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, team roping, tie-down roping, barrel racing, and bull riding - will compete for their piece of the $500,000 purse. Athletes in each discipline - including both headers and heelers in the team roping event - will compete for more than $55,000.

Eight athletes in each discipline with the highest scores or fastest times will advance to the Titletown Stampede on June 1. The one-night, $1 million rodeo will be coupled withProfessional Bull Riders (PBR) Elite Series. On Sunday, June 2 fans will be able to tune into the Titletown Stampede Showdown Round on a CBS network broadcast at 1:30-2:30 P.M. ET

Prior to the progressive and final rounds, WCRA will host a barrel race jackpot on Wednesday, May. 15 followed by two days of timed event jackpots and preliminary rounds starting at 8 a.m. daily.

Since launching in May of 2018, the WCRA and its partners have awarded more than $3,024,000 in new money to rodeo athletes.
