Edmond's Oldest Park is Getting an Upgrade

Historic park updates will greet Edmond visitors. Stephenson Park is a 3.1-acre green space enriched with Edmond History. Donated to the city in 1892, the space has served as a great outdoor space for fun and events. The park upgrades include a new playground, basketball courts, pavilion, veteran memorial plaza, added trees and the old rocketship slide will be displayed on the northeast corner as a piece of art.
The new park layout will also include a designated event lawn and area in addition to the grand pavilion. The park began undergoing renovations in 2022 and is expected to be complete by the end of 2023.
