AMERICAN CREED: A FILM SCREENING & COMMUNITY CONVERSATION

Sun, July 142019-07-14|Edmond Library

Join us for a film screening of the PBS documentary, American Creed, and a scholar-facilitated panel discussion with community leaders. In the film American Creed, former US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Pulitzer Prize-winning historian David M. Kennedy come together from different points of view to investigate the idea of a unifying American creed. Their spirited inquiry frames the stories of citizen-activists striving to realize their own visions of America's promise across deepening divides. After the film screening of American Creed, our panel of community leaders will engage in reflection and dialogue about their own part in the American story and also investigate the idea of a unifying American creed.

Light refreshments will be served at 2:00 pm, our film screening will begin at 2:30 pm, and panel discussions will begin at 4:00 pm.
