The University of Central Oklahoma has three alumni competing at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris from August 28 to September 8. Evan Medell ('20) is a 1-time Paralympian having competed at the Tokyo 2020 games in Para Taekwondo. Medell won a bronze medal in 2021 in his classification (K44). Jeremy Campbell ('23) is no stranger to the Paralympic Stage and has competed since 2008 and has four gold medals. This year, Campbell will be representing Team USA in throwing events as he returns for his fifth Paralympic Games. Derek Loccident ('22) will be making his Paralympic debut as a multi-event track and field athlete. Loccident competed at the 2024 World Championships and won silver medals in the Men's High Jump - T64 and Long Jump - T64 and a bronze medal in the Men's 100m T64.
