Whether you're looking for adventure, creativity, or just a place for the kids to burn off energy, Edmond has plenty of options for family-friendly fun for Spring Break - rain or shine! Here are some top spots to plan your Spring Break itinerary.
Edmond mom Maggie Murdock Nichols recommends visiting Stephenson Park at 5th and Boulevard, where you can enjoy the outdoors, history, lunch and dessert in one stop, which is always a plus when your kids are under ten. That area boasts the free Edmond History Museum, the newly-renovated Stephenson Park with plenty of space to free range play and playground equipment, followed by lunch across the street at Hideaway Pizza or Tamashii Ramen followed by ice cream at Boomtown. If the weather is rainy, she recommends story time at BlueBird Books, a pastry at Twisted Tree and indoor climbing at BlocWords.
Mom of teens Celena McCord says her family has a lot of dining favorites that a family can agree on like the options at The Ice House Project - Woodward Pizza and The Fried Taco. They also enjoy Empire Slice Pizza, Los Arcos for Mexican, The Garage and Pops for burgers and Sunnyside Diner for breakfast.
Adventure seekers have plenty of options both indoors and out including Frontier City, where you can stay nearby at one of our hotels, Breakaway Indoor Playground on north Lincoln, Surge Adventure Park on 33rd St., or enjoying the miles of trails and parks - our largest being Mitch Park on Covell.
